PA Honors The Hooters in Harrisburg, PA return to news

PA State Capitol - East Wing

The Hooters were recognized in a special ceremony in the East Wing rotunda of the historic Pennsylvania State Capitol building in Harrisburg, PA on Tuesday April 30, 2013 at 12 noon. The event continued until 1 pm.

The Hooters attended to receive the official State Senate proclamation and performed a 45-minute "unplugged" set during the event.

The Hooters celebrate 33 years together as a band in 2013, and Pennsylvania State Senator Daylin Leach was centrally involved in arranging this special recognition for the band's long history in Pennsylvania. Senator Leach introduced and co-sponsored a resolution declaring April 30th as "Hooters Music Appreciation Day" in Pennsylvania.
